A.B. was born to play music...plain and simple. He grew up in a musical legacy, and then made one of his own. He went from being a singer in a variety band in Albuquerque to being one of the most respected singer/songwriters in the nation. Music has defined A.B., and in return, A.B. has defined himself as one of the most talented, creative, and introspective songwriters of his generation.

Like many musicians do, A.B. draws inspiration from other musicians around him...the first of which was his father, legendary New Mexico musician Freddie Brown. Music was a passion for Freddie, and it became a way of life for the entire Brown family. Bo Brown, A.B.'s brother, would grow up to be a noted country singer in the southwest. Antonio Alarcon, A.B.'s cousin, would become a premier songwriter and would collaborate with A.B. on one of many of his ambitious projects. A.B.'s nephew, the late Christopher Jaramillo, was also beginning to gel as a songwriter. Music was a way of life for A.B., and his passion for it would only increase as the years went on.

A.B. spent a great deal of time in the late 1990's singing around Albuquerque in cover bands. Just before moving to Los Angeles, A.B.'s band Soul Divine opened for soul legend James Brown. It was at that time that A.B. realized that he wanted more from himself in terms of music, so he made the move to Los Angeles. A.B.'s voice quickly caught the ears of some of the biggest names in the industry, and he was signed to a record deal with Hybrid Recordings, a division of Warner Bros.

A.B.'s first album, "Why?" achieved critical success, garnering acclaim for his smooth yet diverse vocal chops. A.B. had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest musicians and producers in Los Angeles on his solo debut. "Why?" contained the single, "Most Beautiful Girl," which became a #1 hit across the country. A.B. would tour for most of 2003 and 2004 promoting his solo debut, but his career took a turn with the tragic passing of his father.

For the next few years, A.B. kept himself behind the scenes, producing songs for other singers and musicians in Los Angeles while at the same time, working on what would become his most ambitious project to date...an independent release that would put him back on the map of creative music. Finally, in 2008, A.B. completed his 11-song sophomore album with the help of producers Ian Christian and Al Bennett, as well as musicians from both Los Angeles and his hometown of Albuquerque, NM.

A.B.'s new album, "Music Love Magic," is not only a departure from his first album's creative limitations, but it is also a drastic departure from modern songwriting cliches. Every song on the album is an introspective look into A.B.'s views on life, love, and music. The songs touch on many aspects of the human element, and offer insight into the life of a true artist. The first single from the album will be available on August 26, and the full album will be available on September 9.

A.B.'s music is not geared for the dancefloor, but rather for the strong-minded listener who seeks a spiritual experience in music. A.B.'s music goes beyond classification, beyond cliche, and beyond comparison.
